Complete FAQ
Product Basics
What are EPDM granules used for?
EPDM granules are used as surface materials for wet pour playground flooring, running track surface layers, school flooring, kindergarten areas, outdoor fitness areas, and recreation surfaces.
What are EPDM rubber granules made for?
They are designed for flexible rubber flooring systems where color, surface texture, and outdoor durability are required. The final performance depends on the full system design and installation.
What colors and particle sizes are available?
Valnorin offers 36 EPDM surface colors. Common sizes include 2-4mm for base layer discussion and 1-3mm or 0.5-2mm for surface layers.
Can I get EPDM granule samples or a color card?
Samples and color chart discussion are available. Courier cost is usually paid by the customer, and final colors should be confirmed before bulk orders.
Applications
Are EPDM granules suitable for outdoor playground flooring?
Yes. EPDM rubber granules are commonly used in outdoor wet pour playground flooring when combined with a suitable PU binder and proper installation.
Can EPDM granules be used for running track surfaces?
EPDM granules can be used for running track surface layers. Particle size, color, binder ratio, and installation method should be confirmed by project design.
Are EPDM granules suitable for school and kindergarten flooring?
Yes. They are widely discussed for school outdoor flooring, kindergarten play areas, and recreation zones where colored rubber surfaces are required.
Can EPDM granules be used indoors?
Indoor use can be discussed, but ventilation, odor release period, local requirements, and installation conditions should be reviewed carefully.
Quality & Performance
Will EPDM rubber granules fade over time?
Outdoor rubber materials may show gradual color change due to UV exposure, weather, cleaning method, and use conditions. Final expectations should be discussed by project.
Do EPDM granules have odor after installation?
EPDM granules and PU binder may have mild odor after installation. Odor usually reduces with ventilation and curing time, depending on temperature and humidity.
Are test documents available for EPDM flooring materials?
MSDS/SDS and project-related documents can be discussed upon request. Testing requirements vary by country, project type, and local standard.
Can different production batches have color difference?
Slight batch-to-batch color difference may occur. For one project, it is recommended to confirm color samples and order enough material from the same batch where possible.
Ordering & Customization
What is the minimum order quantity for EPDM granules?
Small trial orders can be discussed based on color, stock availability, packaging, and shipment arrangement.
Can EPDM granule colors be customized?
Custom color discussion is possible based on supplied color references or physical samples. MOQ and lead time should be confirmed before order.
Can you provide OEM packaging?
Packaging discussion can be arranged based on order quantity, packaging artwork, export requirement, and material availability.
What information is needed for quotation?
Please provide product type, color requirement, particle size, estimated quantity, application, destination port, and any document requirements.
Packaging & Logistics
How are EPDM granules packed?
EPDM granules are commonly packed in 25kg bags. Palletizing, wrapping, and shipment protection can be discussed for export orders.
Do you support LCL or mixed cargo shipment?
LCL or mixed cargo shipment can be discussed for trial orders and small-volume buyers, depending on destination and freight arrangement.
Do you support export shipping and documents?
Valnorin can discuss EXW, packaging, LCL or mixed cargo, and export-related documents based on order quantity and destination.

Installation & Use
What binder should be used with EPDM granules?
One-component PU binder is commonly used with EPDM granules for wet pour rubber flooring. The ratio depends on weather, material, and project requirements.
What is the mixing ratio of EPDM granules and PU binder?
Surface layer ratios may include 1:5, 1:5.2, or 1:5.5. Base layer ratios may include 1:6, 1:6.5, or 1:7. Final ratio should be confirmed before application.
Can EPDM flooring be installed on concrete or asphalt?
Concrete and asphalt bases can be discussed if the surface is dry, clean, stable, level, and has suitable drainage.
Can you provide installation guidance?
General installation guidance can be discussed, but Valnorin is positioned as a material supplier. Local installation standards and site conditions should be confirmed by the project team.
Pricing & Quotation
How much EPDM granule is needed per square meter?
Material quantity depends on thickness, density, particle size, and installation method. Buyers can share drawings or dimensions for estimated material discussion.
Can you help calculate material quantity from CAD drawings?
Yes. If buyers provide CAD drawings, area sizes, thickness, and application details, Valnorin can help discuss estimated EPDM granule and PU binder quantities.
Can PU binder be quoted together with EPDM granules?
Yes. EPDM granules and one-component PU binder can be discussed together according to surface thickness, mixing ratio, and project quantity.
How long is a quotation valid?
